Candidate Attorney, Patent
Department
Zee joined the
firm in July 2011. He focuses on
both local and international patent
searches and drafting patent
specifications. He has been involved
in patent litigation in the
pharmaceutical field.
During his BSc MedSc, Zee studied
the host response to the TB
infection, observing both pathogenic
and non-pathogenic mycobacterium at
the TB Center of Excellence,
Stellenbosch University. During his
MSc, he investigated the effects of
an indigenous South African plant on
obesity using an in vitro model -
drug screening. He is interested in
all areas of biotechnology.
Zee is currently studying towards a
degree in law as well as the
requisite examinations to qualify as
a South African patent attorney.
