About Meghan Dormehl

Meghan is an attorney and qualified trade mark practitioner. Currently consulting in the litigation team, Meghan is involved predominantly in trade mark enforcement matters ranging from infringement to opposition and cancellation proceedings in South Africa, passing off, copyright, company name objections, and advertising matters. She also has experience in conducting trade mark availability searches and filing and prosecuting trade mark applications in South Africa, and trade mark portfolio management.

Meghan obtained her law degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 2015. She began her career in intellectual property law at Spoor & Fisher, where she worked from 2016 until 2021. Alongside her current work as a consultant, Meghan is studying a BA Psychology. The counselling skills acquired through this degree are invaluable to Meghan’s relationship with clients, as she actively listens to clients’ needs to guide her in developing detailed and practical solutions to their intellectual property problems.
