Introduction

Oswald’s practice includes the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in South Africa, ARIPO and OAPI jurisdictions and has experience in all areas of patent and design law, including prosecution, opinions, licensing and counselling. His practice encompasses a wide array of technological areas, including mechanical devices, medical instruments and processes, lubricants, computer hardware and software, and business methods.

Oswald is from Cameroon and has full working proficiency in French. He is currently completing the requisite examinations to qualify as a professional agent (Mandataire agréé) before OAPI, and can assist both South African and international companies in securing IP rights in French West Africa and strategically advise on the best options to ensure that their IP is protected.
