Uganda: permanent removal of expired trade mark registrations

The Ugandan Registration Services Bureau (URSB) published a notice on 27 June 2025, listing over 2000 trade mark registrations which have expired.

In terms of the publication, owners of expired trade marks have until 25 August 2025 to renew their trade marks.  On expiry of the 60- day period, any expired registration that has not been renewed, will be removed the Trade Marks Register permanently.
