About Bronwen Moodie

Bronwen Moodie is a candidate attorney in the patent department. She is focused on patent litigation, in particular, chemical and generic pharmaceutical matters. She has experience in application and action proceedings in the South African Court of the Commissioner of Patents. Bronwen also drafts opinions on patent validity and patent infringement.

She is also involved in freedom-to-operate and patentability investigations as well as the preparation, filing and prosecution of local and foreign patent applications.

Bronwen completed a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Genetics and Microbiology at Stellenbosch University, followed by an honours degree in Plant Biotechnology. She then completed a law degree through the University of South Africa.

She has particular interests in innovations in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields.
