Mishayla is a South African trade mark attorney with a background in trade mark litigation both locally and on an international basis. Her experience ranges from trade mark and copyright litigation to company name objections, domain name disputes, passing-off, unfair competition and advertising complaint matters.
She also has experience in trade mark portfolio maintenance and management through active and passive watch services, as well as handling due diligence work. Her field of expertise also includes advising clients on the commercial side of intellectual property law – including agreements such as licensing, assignments and co-existence.
Mishayla is currently working in the prosecution team with a focus in Africa, handling aspects of local trade mark prosecution including trade mark searches and examination.
