Matthew Sawyer is a South African attorney and trade mark practitioner and has a background in searching and further prosecution of trade marks both locally and on an international basis. Matthew is currently working in the prosecution team with a focus on the relationship between commerce and IP law.
Matthew handles all aspects of local and international trade mark prosecution including trade mark searches, examination and oppositions. He is also experienced with advising clients on the commercial side of intellectual property law – including agreements such as licensing and assignments to due diligence and POPI Act compliance.
His strict time management skills and attention to detail place him in good stead to achieve the desired growth of various businesses’ IP portfolios.
